Frequently asked questions
The things people ask before trusting us with a collection.
How much will I get for my cards?
A percentage of the current market price, shown per card as you build the submission. The rate depends on the product type and how quickly it sells. The total you see while scanning is an estimate; the binding offer comes after we have physically checked the cards.
Which cards do you accept?
Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Dragon Ball Super and Star Wars: Unlimited — singles, graded slabs and sealed product. Cards below the minimum value shown in the portal are not worth the shipping for either of us.
Do I have to grade the condition myself?
No, and we deliberately do not ask. Everything is recorded as near mint and we grade it on arrival. If our assessment differs, the offer changes and the reason is recorded against that card so you can see exactly what we found.
How do I send my cards?
The portal generates a tracked, insured label once your submission is confirmed. Print it, pack the cards in the same order as the packing slip, and drop the parcel off. Do not send cards without our label — those parcels are not covered.
How long does it take?
Delivery is usually two to five working days depending on the carrier. Inspection normally happens within a couple of working days of the parcel arriving. You can follow every step on the submission page.
What if I do not accept the offer?
Your cards go back to you. The return shipment is arranged through the portal and the cost is shown before you confirm — taken from your balance if you have one, invoiced separately if not.
When do I get paid?
Accepting an offer credits your portal balance straight away. From there you request a withdrawal to the bank account on your profile, subject to the minimum shown on the withdrawal screen.
Is my payout taxed?
Cards bought from private individuals fall under the second-hand margin scheme, so no VAT is broken out on your payout. Shipping and insurance are services and do carry VAT. Selling as a registered business works differently — tell us first.
The scanner did not recognise my card
Check the game selector first — pointing it at the wrong game is the usual cause, and the scanner will tell you after a few empty frames. Otherwise flatten the card, avoid glare across the artwork, and use the frame control to tighten the crop. You can always add the card by searching the catalogue instead.
Do you buy graded cards?
Yes. Choose Graded slabs when adding items and give the grader, grade and certificate number. We verify the certificate against the grader's records where an official lookup exists.
Can I sell as a business?
Yes, but tell us before you submit. Business sales fall outside the margin scheme and are invoiced differently, so we need to know before the offer is made rather than after.
What happens to my data?
We keep what we need to run the sale and what tax law obliges us to retain, on servers in the EU, and we never sell it. The privacy policy sets out each category, why we hold it and for how long.
Still stuck?
Send us the details and we will come back to you.
